Who We Are
Mr. Charles Ruxton Sharp commenced his practice in 1932 in Bombay (now Mumbai) and he was joined in 1934 by Mr. Bodh Raj Tannan. The partnership by the name Sharp & Tannan was formed with effect from 16 October 1937. From commencement, the values of reliability and trustworthiness were ingrained into all employees and have been the cornerstone ever since. Both the Founders had wide domain knowledge and professional acumen, and the partnership has now arched into a full-service assurance, GRC, tax, and business consulting practice.
Today, Sharp & Tannan is one of the leading chartered accountant firms in India. And the principles of fair and ethical behaviour that our Founders adopted have helped us stay independent all these years.
Sharp & Tannan has now expanded to 10 offices, with 500+ employees, 22 Partners and a cross-border reach. It consults for some of the biggest names in Indian business. The Firm has a combined pool of 475 man-years of professional experience with a deep knowledge of the local context, and multi-disciplinary understanding.
